This outdoor living project in Lantana, TX, was designed to turn an underutilized backyard into a true destination for entertaining. The homeowner envisioned more than just a pool. They wanted a cohesive, resort-style environment where every element worked together, from shaded lounging areas to a fully functional kitchen and bar space. With pool construction already underway, timing and coordination became critical to the process.
Our approach focused on creating a seamless connection between structures, elevations, and amenities. We designed and built a detached A-frame patio cover and pergola to introduce architectural interest while providing much-needed relief from the Texas heat.
The outdoor kitchen and swim-up compatible dry bar were strategically placed to integrate with the pool, requiring custom, steel-reinforced framing due to the lower elevation. Every detail, from the rounded posts to the personalized chalkboard wall, was thoughtfully executed to reflect the homeowner’s vision for a high-end, entertainment-first space.
This project was completed over approximately 10 months, carefully phased alongside the pool builder and adjusted for weather delays during a particularly wet winter. Complex staining over the pool required scaffolding and precision planning, ensuring a consistent, polished finish throughout.
With features like motorized shade systems, custom finishes, and a dedicated “cocktail zone,” this Southlake backyard now delivers both function and personality, transforming everyday living into an elevated outdoor experience.
