Andrea and her team made this dream of ours come out just the way we imagined it.
Quality work, several big miscommunications.
Lana - The Colony, TX
There was miscommunication on my start date. I even called to ask when we were starting since my check cleared. The receptionist said, “oh, you are on the schedule today”. I had no idea and was not prepared. On the first day of work, my rep called and said to drill holes in my concrete ledge was going to be an extra $40 per hole, equaling about $500 more dollars. That wasn’t what we discussed in the original bid. Later, he called back and said he made an error and it was fine. He did apologize. Then, I had some higher quality bamboo on my old chain link. Jeff texted at the end to ask if I wanted to keep it. I was in meetings for a bit so I texted back about a couple of hours later that YES I wanted to keep it. When I got home the fence was done and no bamboo. They hauled it off. It was about $250 worth of material that my neighbor wanted. Lastly, walking around my back yard, I picked up 5 small white bags of those silicon gel packs (to prevent moisture). I’m so thankful I got to them before my dog. I ended up hunting in my backyard about an hour to make sure I got them all. If a dog ingests this, it could die. This might be something your team considers with the cleanup. I know I’ve listed several things here, but the fence does look great. The quality is there for sure. The process could have gone smoother, but I’m happy with the final product.

Couldn't Be Happier
John in Carrollton - The Colony, TX
When straight line winds cracked the support beams on the north side of our fence, we decided to replace our aged fence. Texas Best and two other contractors were contacted, one of whom never returned our call. Jeff gave us the estimate which was a cost savings over the other estimate. On the day scheduled, Sergio and his younger brother arrived late morning and worked till almost dark removing the old fence as well as setting the poles and cross pieces. Mid morning the following day they began attaching the planks and by 7 that night, our fence was complete and our yard was cleaned up. The following day Jeff came by for the walk through and we told him how pleases we were with our new fence, how Texas Best had been so easy to work with and the quality job that Sergio and his brother had done for us.. I'd recommend Texas Best without hesitation.

Fences & Gates
New Wood Fences
When you choose construction materials wisely and work with an experienced, professional wood fence company, your new wood fence can be an asset that adds to the enjoyment and good looks of your home for many years.
For your wood fence to last, we recommend a fence stain application every three to five years. This will not only help your property look great, but it will preserve your investment.
With automatic gates that open by remote control or an access box, you never have to get out of your car in the hot sun or during a rainstorm to open the gate.
More About Wood Privacy Fences
We specialize in custom wood fences designed to complement the look and feel of your property. We prefer to install metal posts set in concrete for support, but we can also use wooden posts as your budget and desires dictate. If you’re not sure what you want, we suggest a beautiful pre-stained cedar wood fence that will last for years.
Other materials that are requested by homeowners are also available, but Texas Best Fence will always talk honestly and fairly about methods and materials that should be avoided or require special treatment. Although wood is and always has been a natural product, there can be a great difference in the quality of wood for outdoor use. Some wood types are just better suited to natural weathering processes than others.
A wood privacy fence can also increase the value of your property. If you’ve decided to fence your yard, make sure that you know the fence height rules for your area.
If you live in a subdivision or a development, check the deed restrictions before choosing a fence. Most subdivisions have rules and regulations regarding the materials and height of fences. Some don’t allow fences in the front but allow them in the backyard.
Your neighbors are another important consideration. A boundary fence may be a shared responsibility with your neighbor. Check the laws pertaining to property fences before going any further. Once you’re sure about the rules and regulations, it’s important to talk to your neighbors that may be affected by a new fence. A sit-down meeting usually works better than a letter to keep communication open and friendly.
Let’s say everything is a go and you’re ready to decide on the type of fence you want for your property. Choosing the height of your fence might be a hard decision. Here are a few guidelines you can start with.
3 feet – front yard
4 feet – pool fence
6 feet – backyard
8 feet – deer fence
The height of your fence will likely depend on your family’s lifestyle, needs, and budget.
