This outdoor living project in Flower Mound, TX, was designed to transform a large backyard into a series of inviting spaces that encourage gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the outdoors year-round. The homeowners wanted more than a traditional patio. Their goal was to create a modern outdoor retreat where family and friends could comfortably spread out while maintaining a seamless connection between destinations throughout the property.

Our design centered on creating distinct outdoor living zones that work together as one cohesive space. A custom patio cover provides a dedicated area for grilling and lounging, complete with a warm wood ceiling, modern steel framing, and a striking Corten steel fireplace that serves as a focal point. Nearby, a spacious composite deck surrounds a raised pool, creating a natural place to relax while overlooking the backyard. Large concrete pavers, separated by decorative stone, establish clean walkways that guide movement among the covered patio, dining area, fire feature, and spa deck.

Every element was selected to complement the property’s mature trees and open landscape while introducing a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Thoughtful lighting, custom landscaping, steel planters, and black ornamental fencing complete the design without taking away from the expansive yard.
